Architectural
This type of trim tends to be more economical than extrusions or flashings. This provides minimal sightlines on the facade and has a cleaner look. This type of trim requires precise field measurement of the substrate as all panels will be made to fit. There will be little room for adjustment if the substrate is not plum, square and true. These details can be used with panels made from all types of material.
Extrusions
This type of trim gives more room to account for building tolerance issues. These trims help reduce installation time because they allow the installer to make adjustments in the field. These details cannot be used panels made from natural materials (zinc, copper or stainless steel.)
Flashing
This type of trim is optional with natural materials like zinc, copper and stainless steel. This is also an economical choice when using pre-painted aluminum for the panels. These details provide some of the same flexibility as extrusions.
