DRI-DESIGN
METAL WALL PANELS
Founded in Holland, Michigan in 1995, under the leadership of President Brad Zeeff, dri-design has turned the Metal Panel Industry on its ear. With dri-design, Zeeff set out to solve what he viewed as the significant shortfalls of traditional metal panel systems: delamination, staining due to the effects of weather on joints and gaskets, a lack of color and texture options, the rising cost of production and inefficient installation practices.
The result of dri-design’s meticulous engineering, is a 100% recyclable, pressure equalized rain-screen, architectural metal wall panel system that attaches to nearly any substrate without the use of clips or extrusions. The pressure equalized rain-screen design can be installed simply over commercial grade Tyvek onto plywood, or as the most sophisticated outboard insulation pressure equalized rain-screen you can design.
“Don’t let its sleek, simple design fool you, the panel system is as innovative as they come,” shared Zeeff. “dri-design’s patented design has passed the most stringent air, water and structural testing requirements in the industry, including the AAMA 508-07 test for pressure equalized rain-screens, as well as Miami Dade County hurricane testing.”
EXACTLY HOW INNOVATIVE IS THE PANEL SYSTEM?
Lasting Quality and Beauty
One of the many secrets of dri-design’s success is its interlocking system used to fasten the panels to the structure. This patented system also functions as a superior method of water management. Because of this unique technology, the panels perform flawlessly in the long term, without the delaminating, streaking or staining associated with silicone sealants, gaskets and laminated competitor products.
Unheard of Efficiency and Cost Effectiveness
The panels aren’t the only intriguing aspect of dri-design. The company utilizes the latest automation technologies to streamline the manufacturing process; each panel is produced in a matter of seconds. In addition, the interlocking panel system itself simplifies the install process, making it quicker and more efficient than traditional approaches. Clients are assured faster cladding lead times, and buildings are occupied sooner.
Superior Sustainability
While the average 4mm standard composite panel core is laminated to very thin aluminum skins, dri–design uses only solid plate aluminum, zinc and copper sheet metals to create durable architectural panels that are 100% recyclable. “If you think about composite options,” commented Zeeff, “The composite panel you’re using is likely 70% plastic, which is made from petroleum…a non-renewable resource. At dri-design, we have a strict policy of recycling and creating products that are sustainable, so our environment — and those who live in it — have a fighting chance.”
Infinite Design Options
Customers can rest assured that dri-design panels are available in a color palette and sizes they’ve become accustomed to, however, it is dri-design’s distinct customization capabilities that make using their panel system all the more inviting.
Panels can be tailored to individual size specifications and manufactured from a variety of gauges of aluminum, zinc, copper, stainless steel, weathering steel, Luvata and titanium. The panels can be further customized through embossing, texturing and an exclusive process that creates three-dimensional patterns and images. (More on this later.) Plus, the color palate is unlimited. Any Kynar color is available, without the hassle of ridiculous up charges.
ENTER, DRI-DESIGN WITH IMAGING TECHNOLOGYImaging Technology, and its application to dri-design panels, is the latest innovation from this company, notorious for its forward thinking. Using imaging Technology computer software, dri-design can reproduce any image - from a graphic design to a photo - by calculating the optimal reflective position of each 3D pixel and then sculpting multiple, uniquely oriented pixels of varying lengths, breadths and heights into the panels. |

Imaging Technology is an exclusive method of sculpting three-dimensional pixels into our panels,” Zeeff explained. “This process creates a 3D, almost holographic image that presents a slightly different appearance, depending on the lighting and viewing angle of the panels.”
Intended for both interior and exterior applications, the panels are especially effective in settings where designers want to create or expand on a theme, send a specific message or elicit a certain feeling. “These panels have all of the durability, ease of installation and environmental friendliness that you’d expect from us,” shared Zeeff. “Only with the added visual interest of a three dimensional image.”
WHAT’S NEXT
Already, each and every product offers interior and exterior application, and customers can select virtually any size, metal, color, texture, image or graphic.
Where could dri-design possibly go from here? Think even more options. Think added textures. Think brilliant color anodization.
Think Dupont™ Exterior Cladding by dri-design. Think “GreenScreens” and Photovoltaics. In fact, whatever it is you are thinking or
imagining right now…well, with these guys, it’s a likely possibility. The dri-design team is poised to push the limits of design and
metal wall engineering.
