Q:	What is the difference between Original Dri-Design and the new coil coated Dri-Design?

A:

Both the original and the new coil coated Dri-Design are metal, dry joint pressure equalized rainscreen wall panel systems. The original Dri-Design is a custom program and is available in any size within the limitations of the product. Original Dri-Design aluminum panels are available in any Kynar color. We also make original Dri-Deisgn in Zinc, Copper, Stainless Steel, Cor-Ten steel and other exotic materials. The new generation of Dri-Design is made from Kynar coated pre finished aluminum coil. Coil coated Dri-Design is available in 4 standard sizes and a standard selection of Kynar colors. These panels are our most economical. [top]

Q:	Are custom colors available?

A:	Yes they are available in both products, there is no minimum quantity in the original Dri-Design and a minimum of 7,500 square feet of material to do a custom color in coil coated Dri-Design. [top]

Q:	Does Dri-Design need to be installed over a substrate?

A:

Dri-Design, like all rainscreen systems, requires a substrate and weather barrier. The substrate could be the metal skin of a pre-engineered metal building, plywood, Densglas, etc. If applied over a pre-engineered metal building, there would not be a requirement for a weather barrier. Girts, hat channels or strapping is required on any substrate that will not hold a fastener. [top]

Q:	What is the thickness of the aluminum used on the coil coated Dri-Design?

A:	.040 for 24" x 24", .050 for 30" x 30", .062 for 36" x 36", and 48" x 24" [top]

Q:	What is the panel depth for Dri-Deisgn?

A:	The panel itself is 1 1/4" deep, however the system depth with extrusions or flashings is about 1 9/16". [top]

Q:	What is the weight per square foot?

A:	About 1.25 pounds per square foot. [top]

Q:	How is Dri-Design distributed?

A:	The coil coated generation of Dri-Design is available to any one with approved credit. All other Dri-Design products must be purchased through an authorized distributor if one is established in that territory. [top]

A:	Standard color coil coated Dri-Design will ship in approximately 2 to 3 weeks from time of order. All other Dri-Design products are custom and lead times would vary depending on the project. [top]
