Testing

The following tests have been performed on the Dri-Design® Wall Panel System at Architectural Testing, Inc.

The applicable ASTM standards are as follows:

  1. Air Infiltration, ASTM E 283-91, "Standard Test Method for rate of Air Leakage Through Exterior Windows, Curtainwalls and Doors Under Specified Pressure Differences Across the Specimen."

No air leakage at 6.24 psf

    Dri-Design® exceeded the ASTM requirements

  2. Water Penetration, ASTM E 331-96, "Standard Test Method for Rate of Air Leakage Through Exterior Windows, Curtainwalls and Doors Under Specified Pressure Differences Across the Specimen," and ASTM E 547-96, "Test Method for Water Penetration of Exterior Windows, Curtainwalls and Doors by Cyclic Static Air Pressure Differential."

No water penetration at 15.00 psf

  3. Uniform Structural Load, ASTM E 330-97, "Standard Test Method for Structural Performance of Exterior Windows, Curtainwalls, and Doors by Uniform Static Air Pressure Difference."

Dri-Design® was tested at 65 psf

Pressure Equalization. The cavity behind the face of the panel was tested to monitor the pressure difference between the exterior of the panel face and the interior of the panel face. We also determined how quick pressure equalization occurs. Architectural Testing Inc., performed this testing and determined that Dri-Design® pressure equalizes in less than one second and therefore is a pressure equalized rain screen system.
